One of my favorite websites

The web is an amazing resource, and there are tons of websites that I use every year to create great lessons and worksheets for my class. With that said, I would like to talk about one of my very favorites.

This website is Edhelper. It does require a small subscription to access everything, but if you are like me and spend lots of money on resource books anyways, the 40 dollars a year is relatively cheap.


This site is really easy to use, and you can navigate by subject, by theme (they give you monthly theme examples too) or you can search for what you are looking for (like Egypt).


With Egypt, as well as many other topics they have something called a theme unit on it. All from the same page you can select to get a reading comprehension, math stories, writing prompts or a map of Egypt.

I also really appreciate their math worksheet section. When I select their math section, and then click on 2nd Grade (the grade I teach) I then see this screen.


I can select the concepts that students are working on and then generate a worksheet based on all the concepts I selected. I can also regenerate it as many times as I want so that the students can have extra practice, or different sheets throughout the class.

Another very helpful feature is found in their "Enter word lists" section. This gives you the option to enter in whatever word list you are currently working on, whether it is spelling, history, science or whatever other list you have.


After just entering in a few words, I was able to easily generate these three worksheets and many more as well. Also, when you have an account, it will save your word list so you can use them over and over again.


This is just scratching the surface of what an amazing site Edhelper is for teachers. I encourage you to check it out, and explore it yourself, and I would be surprised if you don't find that you love it like I do.
